HoT (Hofer Telekom) is the Austrian SIM brand of discount supermarket chain Hofer KG, the Austrian division of Aldi Süd. Launched in 2015, HoT runs entirely on the Magenta Telekom radio network (previously T-Mobile Austria) under a wholesale agreement.
HoT's pitch is value: tariffs are typically 30-50% cheaper per GB than equivalent Magenta-branded plans. The flagship HoT fix is EUR 9.90 for 30 days with 60 GB data and 15 GB EU roaming. HoT also offers a EUR 10 Hofer voucher to customers who port their number in. SIM starter packs are sold at every Hofer till alongside groceries.
