fraenk is a Deutsche Telekom sub-brand launched in 2020 to serve consumers who want a single tariff with zero complexity. The product is intentionally minimal: one plan, one price, one signup path. Everything happens in the iOS or Android app - there is no website checkout, no online support form, no tariff comparator.
The single plan is 20 GB data + allnet calls/SMS for EUR 10/month, monthly cancellable. It runs on Telekom 5G with the same underlying signal coverage as Telekom-branded plans (with a speed cap similar to congstar's ~25 Mbit/s).
fraenk's notable roaming feature is Switzerland inclusion: most German prepaid and contract tariffs charge zone-1 rates in Switzerland (EUR 0.49-0.99/MB), but fraenk treats Switzerland the same as EU. This pays back fast for any user who visits Zurich, Basel, or Geneva more than once a year.
The referral mechanic lets existing users earn extra GB by inviting friends. Heavy referrers can reach 30-40 GB/month at the same EUR 10 price.
