Was ist das?

AY YILDIZ ("Star and Crescent") is a specialist German mobile brand founded in 2005 by E-Plus (now part of Telefónica Germany) to serve Germany's Turkish-origin community - the country's largest single foreign-origin population, estimated at around 3 million.

Three things differentiate AY YILDIZ from generic O2-network MVNOs: Turkish-language customer service by phone and live chat, Germany-Turkey rate cards optimised below the per-minute rates of mainstream brands, and retail distribution through kiosks, ethnic supermarkets, and money-transfer shops in Turkish neighbourhoods of Berlin, Cologne, Frankfurt, Hamburg, and the Ruhr.

The flagship contract is Ay Allnet Plus at 90 GB for EUR 17.99/month, with a stronger Max tier at 180 GB. Prepaid uses 4-week billing across five tiers from EUR 3.99 to EUR 19.99. Both use 5G up to 50 Mbit/s.

Compared to Lebara, AY YILDIZ is more specialised: Turkish-only customer service and tighter rate cards for Turkey, but no coverage of South Asian or Eastern European destinations. Best for Turkish-German users; Lebara or Ortel for everyone else.
